Thereâs something about April that makes me want to organize a brunch like itâs a personality trait. The second the weather hits 57 and sunny, Iâm on Pinterest adding to my âSpring Flingâ board. Do I have the time? No. The budget? Also no. But am I certain that everyone in my life DESERVES a carefully themed afternoon with finger foods, crisp white wine and a DIY flower bar? Always.
10 Spring Party Themes I Will Not Be Hosting (But You Should)
Just because Iâm not hosting doesnât mean I havenât spent an unreasonable amount of time dreaming up the perfect version in my head.
1. Rosé-Colored Everything
Rosé in every form: still (Campuget), sparkling (Mumm), Frosé (in a coupe). Everyone wears blush tones and over-applies highlighter. Garden roses everywhere filled centerpieces and honestly, just keep the rosé flowing all day, nothing else quite matters.
2. April Showers Soirée
I am obsessed with those cute retro patio umbrellas in bright colors with fringe or stripey patterns. This is really just an excuse to rent (or buy) a bunch of those and put them around your pool or backyard and invite some friends over. Palm Springs vibes, immaculate.
3. Easter Beer Hunt
A chaotic mix of childhood nostalgia and adult coping mechanisms. We had everyone bring a special beer, added in a case of Coors and various nips then hid them all over the yard. Similar to childhood, the nips laid empty by the end of the night, just like the plastic easter eggs.

4. Bloom Baby Bloom
Floral maximalism at itâs best. Think edible flower salads, rosewater cocktails, beautiful floral desserts ala Loria Stern, and a DIY bouquet bar to show off your flower arranging skills (I know you have them, donât be shy).

5. Farmer's Market Fantasy
This one is ALL about the spread. Menu includes: grilled asparagus with parm, radishes with fancy butter, rhubarb galette, and three types of artisanal bread and fresh herbs in any and everything. Linen is not optional.
6. Picnic in the Park
Gingham. Everywhere. Think blankets in the grass, wine in paper cups, everyone bringing something vaguely snackable, and the perfect opportunity to show off your favorite spring dress & fresh pedicure.
7. Grown Up Tea Party
Tiny cucumber sandwiches, mismatched teacups, and have you ever infused gin with Earl Grey? I have and HIGHLY encourage it. Earl Grey Gin Sours, Chefs Kiss. Take special care with table settings, include name cards, and wear your favorite mary-janes.
8. Spring Break But Make It Millennial
I think Spring Break already passed, but we are no longer confined to the societal norms of college. We are grown ass adults. MTV Spring Break here we come. Inflatables, board shorts, and a playlist that include The Pussycat Dolls, Nelly, and Fall Out Boy.

9. Here Comes the Sun Party
Dress code: flower child, obviously. Whether you're more Twiggy or Bob Dylan, that's up to you. On the agenda: Karaoke & photo ops galore. Menu: Strawberry Fields Forever, enough said. A Sgt Pepper Spritz? I die.
10. Seed Swap Social
Not just about swapping seeds, but also sharing your knowledge. I want to hear all about your garden lessons from last year. Donât have seeds? Trade houseplant cuttings, pots, favorite fertilizers, or other items you find in your shed after opening it for the first time this year.
